St Nicholas Church are holding a weekend-long fundraising event in order to celebrate the past two phases of their restoration and to raise money for the final phase. So far they have installed new boilers, have a new organ, and re-lit the church. Their aim now is to repair the external stone work to protect it for the future and restore it to its original appearance.
Schedule of events for the weekend:
Friday 18 May:
7.00pm – 9.00pm – Preview evening with cocktails and canapes
The first opportunity to see the floral displays with entertainment from the Julie Morton Quartet.
Juliet Morton and her band have featured in many different combos for the past few
decades, regularly playing at functions and venues in West London.
Juliet’s recent Central London appearances this year include performing salza music with the Orquesta Estelar at the Pack and Carriage, Euston and jazz with the Rebel Yell Jazz Orchestra at the Spice of Life, Soho.

Saturday 19 May:
9.00am – 5.00pm – Open church to view the floral arrangements. Refreshments all day, organ recital, ‘Graveyard Tour’ at 3.00pm with Malcolm Smith.
7.30pm – 9.30pm – Organ Recital with Jane Parker-Smith
Internationally acclaimed organist Jane Parker Smith delivers our inaugural organ recital to
celebrate the rebuilding of the fine three manual organ at St Nicholas. The programme will
include works by Charles Villiers Stanford, Claude DeBussy, Joseph Jongen, Louis Vierne
Tickets: £15 in advance (doors at 7.00pm)
Sunday 20 May:
10.30am – Choral Mass
12.30pm – 5.00pm – Open church to view the floral arrangements. Refreshments all day, organ recital, ‘Graveyard Tour’ at 3.00pm with Malcolm Smith.
6.00pm – Songs of Praise – come and sing all your favourite hymns
