St Nicholas Church

Remembrance Service

10.30am, Sunday 11 November

St Nicholas Church, Chiswick Mall, Chiswick, W4 2PJ

There will be a service of remembrance at St Nicholas Church. The St Nicholas archives group have been working hard for the last few years to trace some of the 700+ names of local people that died during WW1. They have finding out where they lived, what they did and who they married. Members of the congregation young and old will be reading out short biographies of some of the local fallen. They will also be offering a book of names at the altar as a sign of their prayers for everybody who died during the Great War. At 11am the service will move outside to Church Street, to the stone crucifix – a memorial to all in the parish of St Nicholas Chiswick who died in WW1
