About Arabella Harcourt-Cooze
As a west London artist, Arabella is most interested in charting where she lives, seeing the topography and the continuance of the landscape shrouded by the city.
Most recently she has been concentrating on a series of paintings of the Thames, the seasons, the flowing tide and she wants to capture and record this. This is what she sees every day, her journey along the river.
“It is The City and yet not – the structure and symmetry of the riverside – architectural, regimented – planted by man: defying the wild and open beauty of the sky above, and always – the relentless tide. Painting comes before words. And I intend that my paintings should, in some part, be simply a gesture, sharing what I have seen.”
Arabella exhibits regularly – solo and group shows including:
Short listed for The National Open Art Competition 2012
Selected in 2010 for:
The Discerning Eye
